There is a good chance that you have one of the following resolutions on your own list for 2020: read more books, learn a new language, or prepare for an exam or certification.

What do all these resolutions have in common? They require a strong will and a lot of mental work. With all we already have to do on a daily basis, how can we put even more stress on our brains?

The following herbal teas may help you out with you wish to accomplish next year.

As we set our goals and make plans to expand our reading list, begin language classes or take on that exam at the end of the school year, the question is always the same: “can I do it?”

Sure, you can resort to caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee, but there are herbal infusions that are said to help boost brain function and stimulate your memory to perform better without keeping you up at night.

Let’s take a look at 7 great herbal teas for brain function:

rosemary
  • Rosemary tea – known also as the “herb of remembrance”, this infusion is best known for helping to deliver oxygen to the brain and therefore boosting your memory and concentration while you work.

  • Tulsi tea – this infusion made from Indian holy basil is known for helping you deal with moments of stress better, oxygenating the brain, soothing headaches and enhancing your ability to remember things better.

  • Gotu kola tea – as a mental tonic, this herbal tea may help you to concentrate better and for longer periods of time, allowing you to store information better.

  • Sage tea – if you start getting nervous, consider drinking this tea as it is said to help calm the nerves allowing you to focus better on your work.

  • Horsetail tea – this infusion is usually associated with repairing bones and tissue due to the high levels of calcium it contains, but this mineral is also helpful to calm the brain improving mental functions.

  • Lemon balm tea – too much work may lead to headaches, so before a migraine has a chance to set in take a cup of this citrusy tea and regain your focus and concentration.

  • chrysanthemum
Chrysanthemum tea – this is a nice cooling infusion that may help you cope better with stress. As a natural stimulant it helps you to feel energized without causing loss of sleep.
